500 years of history...!

Since the year 1556

In the 15th century, the estate belonged to the Laval family

then passes to Jehan de Craon and Gilles de Rais before returning to the Le Ferron family.

At the beginning of the 13th century, the Jamonières passed into the Juchault family following the marriage of Christophe Juchault,

Lord of Lorme, La Moricière, Monceau, Chaffault and Pied-Pain, with Geneviève Marquise Prudence

Bouhier de La Vérie, daughter of Charles Gabriel Bouhier de La Vérie and Renée Gabard.

After the Revolution the estate belonged to Louis Marie Juchault des Jamonières, which also owns that of Clermont

Les Jamonières passed, in 1855, to the heirs of Léon Arthur Patas d'Illiers and Laurence Mathilde Juchault des Jamonières.

Arthur Antonin JUCHAUT, Baron des JAMONIÈRES,had this castle built in 1881 on a plot of land on the estate,

family property. (It had been destroyed during the revolution)

*In 1882, the shipowner Fernand Crouan, sponsor of the Belem, acquired the estate, which passes by succession to his son René Crouan.

Subsequently, the Padiou family will own the property until 2020.

In 2020, the castle was bought by the OMEFI group.

The castle will become a private mansion with its natural estate and its vineyards under the name CHÄTEAU DES MARAIS.
