A range of more than 10 different wines
including the latest sub-regional designation of origin of Muscadet in 1994,
it is the westernmost and closest to the Atlantic Ocean.
The small vineyard of barely 300 hectares of the AOP Muscadet Côtes de Grand Lieu extends southwest of Nantes over nineteen communes on the outskirts of Lake Grandlieu, in Loire-Atlantique and in Vendée. Thanks to this proximity of 9,000 hectares to the waters of the lake, it benefits from a micro-climate which favors the precocity of the Melon B grape variety.
Sand and pebble soils, derived from metamorphic rocks such as gneiss and mica schists,
give rise to dry wines combining finesse and freshness.
The majority of production on lees reinforces the freshness, fruitiness and complexity of the wines.
The Côtes de Grandlieu are differentiated by a plot delimitation and on adult vines over 7 years old,
which inevitably brings a qualitative advantage.
